You may think we’re crazy when we tell you the story of how this bar came to be but that’s okay because no good story every started with something easy. We’ve always loved our hometown, Cave City, Kentucky, and especially the historic section so when a building became available our curiosity made us want to look inside. That building was 201 A Broadway and when we stepped in the empty place we thought to ourselves, “this would be a great place for a bar”. Without much more talking we decided to do it, right then and there. We gave ourselves a month to build the place, ambitious, we know, but if you know us then you know we don’t waste much time doing anything. The plan was to keep it basic and make it a true Dive. However, we had to remodel the entire place (plumbing, electrical, walls, AC, etc.) and with each build we just kept making it nicer. A little over two months later, we have an upscale dive atmosphere with a true dive experience. By that we mean, cheap drinks, welcoming to all kinds and the wittiest bartenders around but in a clean and stylish environment. Mama, Debbie Passmore, is the main lady and she will whip you in shape. Her two daughters, Leticia and Shannon, help run the show and make drinks. Leticia’s got a degree in Psychology so what she can’t fix with her pep talks Shannon can with her famous Alpine Slide cocktail. And...Since we’re all about local, we got a wide array of local distilleries and breweries for you to try. The entire place moonlights as a museum for those of you who want to learn about the area and why Cave City and Mammoth Cave are the greatest kept secret this side of the USA. Come in and be apart of our history, a new story is written here everyday.
